I offer a range of trauma-informed evidence-based therapies, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, and mindfulness-based therapies with spiritual-integration.
I am thrilled to be able to offer Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ARTherapy) beginning March 2025. ARTherapy is a ground-breaking, evidenced-based trauma intervention, that has roots in EMDR and Gestalt therapies. ARTherapy offers results and relief from trauma symptoms in as little as 1-5 sessions.
We offer individual therapy and parent/caregiver support sessions. If you are looking for couples or family counseling, we are happy to refer you to other providers.
We also offer DOT qualified Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) evaluations for the return-to-duty process for those in DOT safety-sensitive positions.
I am in-network with the following insurance providers:
- Cigna
- Aetna
- Anthem BCBS of Georgia
- United Healthcare
- Oxford
- Oscar
- Ambetter (beginning May 1, 2025)
Coming soon: I hope to offer in-network coverage with Amerigroup and Tricare by Summer 2025.
The self-pay rate for individual therapy sessions is $150.
Individual therapy sessions are typically approximately 50 minutes long. The length of each session may vary depending on the needs of the client.
Most people start their therapy journey meeting weekly, though some may be interested in meeting more or less frequently depending on their needs. We will figure this out together in our first session.
That's totally fine! And yeah, therapy is weird sometimes.
While you may come to therapy for a specific issue or goal to address, sometimes things are pretty uneventful and there may not feel like much to say that day. That's a good thing! I never want people to worry about what they need to prepare for their session that day - that is quite literally my job! At the beginning of therapy, we will work together to establish your personal goals. There may be times when we met and you have specific things going on that you want to discuss, and if not, I will always have something prepared based off of your individual goals.
That said, you will get the most out of this experience if you aim to put into practice the things we work on during sessions.
As a working-parent, I get it. Things come up, kids get sick, emergencies happen. That said, I do reserve your time especially for you and only you. Because of this, I require a 24-hour cancellation notice to avoid late-cancellation fees.
If you're not able to make it into the office but still want to meet (please don't come if you're sick!) there may be an option to change from meeting in-office to virtually - with notice.
We are located in the Mulberry River area of Northeast Georgia. Mulberries are known for their numerous health benefits and their trees known for strong roots. The Mulberry River stretches 28 miles from Hall county and is a boundary river between Jackson and Barrow counties. We were inspired by these symbols of the mulberry, its roots, and the river that represent aspects of healthy living: health and restoration of the mulberry, having a strong foundation like the roots of the mulberry tree, being ever changing like a river, and having healthy boundaries, much like the Mulberry River physically is.
